Social media game Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP

Following the hype around 8bit me I spotted a game on iTunes called Social media game Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP which seems to be gaining popularity.

Basically its a 8bit style quest game where you interact with a character in a pixellated world. The beauty of the idea though and one of its central ideas is that the story integrates with Twitter discussion which allow for a more "real time" submersion when you play the game. Its a side step from "in game" advertising which sometimes seems quite flat. Plus it also reminds me of the http://tweetlandgame.com/ where you can tweet to alter the game play e.g. "comet falls on road"

If you also into Minecraft (geek mode now) then this should be one you also enjoy!

A TV Experience concept by Syzygy

Nice concept by Syzygy about how you might use devices (tablet in this case) to interact with video media including integration with your room TV.

Look the part when he is watching the ice hocky game and can see the game playout in real time on the ipad...kinda reminds be of the F1 app you can get off iTunes though. All in all great use of the technology and I totally cant wait for this to hit the main stream!

GoldRun App allows you to interact and collect virtual objects around your city and share or get rewards

Goldrun allows you to track down, interact with and collect virtual objects placed all around your city and share them with your friends on Facebook. The more stuff you grab the more rewards you earn, so start running!

Goldrun
Only runs in NEW YORK and LA though I think. They are planning on opening it up for the UK audience though so I am told.

Additionally...

AR Mobile startup GoldRun, which recently partnered with H&M on a virtual window shopping experience, was back on the scene to launch an Invisible Pop Up Store for Airwalk with Young & Rubicam's Branded Content Division. This past weekend, kicks fans went in search of limited edition Jim Plastic and Jim Tennis Airwalks using the GoldRun app. With the app, they could capture virtual versions of the sneakers that were GPS-linked to locations in New York and Venice Beach, California. Those who snagged the shoes received an exclusive code that allowed them to purchase one of the only 300 pairs made for the Airwalk line. Media surfaces: Incidental Media by agencies Dentsu and Berg

A stimulating video produced by agencies Dentsu and Berg following on from the Making Future Magic project illustrating the seamless integration of new media, technology and lifestyle.

This is the first of two video sketches illustrating some of the ideas and principles behind Dentsu London's communications strategy Making Future Magic.

Here, media includes messages from friends and social services, like Foursquare or Twitter, and also more functional messages from companies or services like banks or airlines alongside large traditional big 'M' Media (like broadcast or news publishing).

The second sketch "The Journey", looks at train travel. You can see it here

This is part of a collaboration between Dentsu London and BERG. You can read more about both films at Dentsu London's blog bit.ly/mediasurfaces and on BERG's blog here bit.ly/incidentalmedia and here bit.ly/thejourney_ms

@FiatMio crowd sourcing campaign to build new concept car

Here is a great idea where a Fiat campaign run by Brazilian agency Agencia Click Isobar has used crowd-sourcing and social to get people to contribute ideas and participate to the design of a new Fiat concept car. This has seen over 10,000 people over 160 countries enter in their ideas. All together an awesome idea that opens up engagement and interaction with the communities.
