(Haarlem, 1 July 1968) was thirteen years at Microsoft, most recently as Design Director for Microsoft Windows. He was thus responsible for the user interface of Windows Vista. Since May 2007 he worked at frog design, an international consulting firm for industrial design[1]. Tjeerd Hoek studied industrial design at the Delft University of Technology, where he in 1992 graduated. In 1994 he left for the United States and joined Microsoft right[2]. There he worked on the design of including Microsoft Office, MSN, Windows XP, and recently Windows Vista. During the worldwide campaign following the launch of Windows Vista, he appeared in various media on January 30, 2007 inter alia in the Dutch television program The World Keeps Turning.
